Coronavirus Tips for Our Santa Barbara Community

Published by Support on April 15, 2020 in category: Current Event

It’s strange to see our beautiful, vibrant community quiet and closed up under threat of a dangerous virus. But we at 911 Restoration are grateful to our neighbors for doing their part to slow the spread of this pandemic. We also look forward to a Fresh Start, knowing that Santa Barbara is strong and will inevitably overcome this challenging era.

In the meantime, be assured that we are here for you. After all, we can only get through this crisis by facing it together.

Remember that every choice you make as an individual affects your entire community. Even if you are not personally afraid of contracting this illness, the most vulnerable members of our community face the threat of severe infection and even death. Coronavirus spreads rapidly through respiratory droplets that linger in the air and land on surfaces and objects. You do not have to experience symptoms in order to be contagious. In fact, many people who carry the virus are not aware of it for days or even weeks after exposure.

This is why we are all encouraged to act as though we have coronavirus. That is not to say we should panic, only that we should take extreme precautions to prevent the spread of illness. Avoid leaving your home for anything other than the most essential errands. Wear a cloth face mask as advised by the Centers for Disease Control. Maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and anyone who is not a member of your household. Always wash your hands and put on gloves and a mask before interacting with a high-risk family member.

Contact 911 Restoration of Santa Barbara for professional sanitization services, especially if you own a retail store or other commercial facility. Coronavirus remains viable on certain surfaces for up to several days, so frequent sanitization is essential. Our deep cleaning crew is trained in EPA and CDC protocols. They serve both commercial and residential properties with disinfection in Santa Barbara and the wider region.

At a time like this, our community must stand together. Know that you can always count on 911 Restoration for transparent service and thorough disinfection. Call us whenever you need us.
